Saint Tail(1995)

Saint Tail is a Japanese anime series following Meimi Haneoka, a second-year middle school student and daughter of a magician who leads a double life. By day, she's an ordinary student at Saint Paulia Academy; by night, she becomes the phantom thief Saint Tail, stealing back money and valuables taken through fraud and crime to return them to their rightful owners. Working alongside her best friend Seira Fukamori, a nun-in-training at the academy chapel, Meimi targets the "lost lambs" victimized by criminals. However, her missions attract the attention of Asuka Jr., a brilliant classmate and specially appointed detective tasked with capturing Saint Tail. As Asuka pursues the elusive thief with unwavering determination, Meimi's initial irritation toward him gradually transforms into something more complex, drawing her to his sincere dedication to justice.
