Suburgatory is a comedy series about single father George Altman, who uproots his rebellious sixteen-year-old daughter Tessa from Manhattan to the suburbs after discovering condoms in her room. Convinced that a quiet, wholesome neighborhood will be better for her, George moves them to a picture-perfect suburban town. What he finds instead is a bizarre world of obsessive mothers, extreme cosmetic procedures, and materialistic teenagers—a culture shock that makes him question whether he's made a terrible mistake. As Tessa navigates this alien landscape of manicured lawns and social hierarchies, both father and daughter must adapt to their new reality, discovering that suburban life is far messier than it appears.
