The Shine(1991)

The Shine is a Greek television series that aired on ANT1 from 1991 to 2005, becoming one of the most popular shows in the country's broadcasting history. Over fourteen years, the series produced 3,457 episodes, airing nearly every day and establishing itself as a cultural fixture. Created by writer Nikos Foskolos and directed by Foskolos, his brother Spyros, and five other directors, The Shine featured approximately 1,500 actors and actresses throughout its run. Many cast members became household names through their work on the series, while others were already established performers. The show's longevity and prolific output made it a defining program of Greek television during the 1990s and early 2000s.
