Malice

Malice is a Hong Kong drama following Captain Fu, who lost his elder son to a swordfish four years ago. When a foreign boy named Ruan appears with news that the legendary fish still lives, Fu abandons plans to sell his struggling boat and sets out to sea with his remaining son Yee. As the three embark on their obsessive hunt, Ruan's traumatic past as a wartime refugee surfaces, haunted by his mother's warning never to trust those on shore. The film explores how ambition and obsession drive men toward their own destruction.
