Quo Vadis? is an epic silent film set during Nero's reign in ancient Rome. Marcus Vinicius, a Roman officer, becomes obsessed with Lygia, a young Christian woman, and pursues her relentlessly. Her protector Ursus fights to shield her from his advances. When Vinicius stumbles upon a secret gathering of Christians led by the apostle Peter, his conscience awakens—but Nero's madness reaches its peak as he orders Rome burned.
