Genau wie früher is a German film about reconnection and lost time. Twenty-four-year-old Kilian returns to his hometown of Vaihingen for a weekend after years studying in Berlin. There he encounters Lorenz and Sommer, his closest friends from high school, and the three attempt to recapture what once bound them together. What unfolds is a bittersweet reunion—one that reveals how much has changed since they last saw each other.
