Revenge(2006)

Revenge is a tragic romance set on the steppes of Kazakhstan, echoing the doomed passion of Romeo and Juliet. Yershora, a maiden of the Adai clan, falls instantly for Zhemal from the rival Zhaumit clan. Their stolen night of happiness ends at dawn when both clans discover them together. What follows is brutal: Zhemal faces torture as the clans pursue their vendetta, while Yershora loses her memory in the chaos. The film explores how ancient tribal codes of honor transform love into devastation, trapping two innocents in a cycle of violence neither can escape.
