Craftivism: Making A Difference is a documentary that explores how craft can drive social change. Writer and comedian Jenny Eclair meets craftivists across the UK and beyond who use knitting, cross-stitch, banners and felt to challenge injustice and spark conversation. She visits Bradford on Avon to discover how miniature knitted underwear raises awareness of cervical cancer screening, witnesses felt art installations delivering wellbeing messages in London parks, and sees banners displayed at Liverpool Football Club's Anfield Stadium. The film also features a vast AIDS memorial quilt that honours those lost to the disease. Each project demonstrates that craft activism—painstaking, thoughtful and visually striking—offers a powerful, often quiet way to move hearts and minds and make the world more compassionate.
