Dinosaur from the Deep(1993)

Dinosaur from the Deep is a 2004 science fiction film that blends crime thriller and creature horror. When the FBI struggles with how to punish a dangerous criminal recidivist after capital punishment is abolished, agents and lawyers devise an unconventional solution: send him back in time to an era when the death penalty still existed. To justify the expense, the expedition doubles as a scientific mission to study Earth's prehistoric past and locate the first dinosaurs. The plan goes catastrophically wrong when the crew discovers the creatures are very real—and far more lethal than anyone anticipated. Stranded in a hostile prehistoric world, the team must survive encounters with blood-hungry monsters while pursuing their escaped prisoner.
