Executive Protection(2001)

Executive Protection is a thriller about a private investigator forced into a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse. Falk, recently reassigned to desk work, partners with an old friend to launch a detective agency. When his friend Sven asks for help against Nikolaus Lehmann—a brutal private eye hired for protection who's turned into a ruthless extortionist—Falk agrees without realizing the depth of his mistake. Lehmann escalates the conflict by kidnapping Falk's wife Jeanette and strapping a time bomb to her neck, then demanding ownership of Falk's new agency. What begins as a favor becomes a desperate race against time as Falk confronts a merciless adversary willing to destroy everything he holds dear.
