Bajo el mismo cielo follows an 11-year-old girl caught between her parents when her Moroccan immigrant family fractures in Spain. Her father returns to Morocco, unable to find stable work, while her mother stays behind. The girl shares a passion for writing with her schoolteacher, yet chooses to follow her father across the border. Desperate to bring her daughter home, the mother enlists the teacher's help to bridge the widening distance between them. The film explores the human cost of migration, family loyalty, and the bonds that form across cultural divides as three people navigate loss and longing.
