Siebenmal in der Woche is a German romantic comedy in which famous singer Roberto Ricci arranges a fake marriage to escape his obsessive female admirers. Mr. Praxl, owner of a marriage institute, proposes his granddaughter Gertie, a waitress who needs money to launch her singing and dancing career. Gertie agrees to pose as an unattractive wife, disguising herself with pinned-up hair and high-necked dresses. The ruse works—Roberto's fans lose interest. But as Gertie and Roberto spend time together, genuine feelings develop between them. Their budding romance triggers jealousy in Loretta, Roberto's stage partner, who conspires with Füllkrug to sabotage their relationship. What began as a business arrangement becomes a battle between love and ambition.
