Promise(2008)

Promise is a thriller following Jesse, a college senior who must infiltrate a dangerous cult to save his girlfriend Selene after they're ambushed on a remote mountain road. Trapped in the cult's isolated compound, Jesse navigates a web of manipulation and violence while searching for a way to free Selene and escape alive. The film builds tension through claustrophobic settings and the psychological games cult members use to control their captives. As Jesse gets closer to Selene, he discovers the cult's true intentions may be far darker than he imagined. With time running out and trust impossible to establish, Promise becomes a desperate race against a group willing to do anything to keep their secrets buried.
