The Tower of Silence(1925)

The Tower of Silence is a silent film that unravels a web of deception among isolated characters bound by dark secrets. Eva lives in a sinister tower with her mad inventor father and grandfather, while celebrated aviator Wilfred Durian and his wife dwell in the nearby town. Durian's legendary flight across the Australian desert harbors a dangerous lie—his supposedly dead partner Arved Holl resurfaces, rescued by Eva, and demands the hand of his former fiancée. As Holl's return threatens to expose Durian's fraud, Eva discovers that her own family history is far more complicated than she ever imagined.
