Flowers from Nice(1936)

Flowers from Nice is a romantic drama set in early 20th-century Europe. Maria, a gifted singer at a music conservatory, catches the attention of an impresario who books her for a concert in Nice. Meanwhile, a debt-ridden nobleman agrees to stage his own suicide—ostensibly from unrequited love—as a publicity stunt to escape his creditors. He flees to Paris, unaware that Maria is also traveling there to perform. Their paths converge in the French capital, setting in motion a tale of deception, ambition, and unexpected connection across class lines.
