Little Houdini(2014)

Little Houdini is a family film set in 1886 Appleton, Wisconsin, following twelve-year-old Harry, a gifted young magician desperate to escape his small hometown. When New York's mayor announces a prestigious magic contest to celebrate the Statue of Liberty's opening, Harry sees his chance—but the competition requires training from an established magician. His father reveals that the renowned inventor Nikola Tesla is visiting town. Impressed by Harry's raw talent and determination, Tesla invites the boy to his home, where Harry trains alongside Tesla's niece Beth and his mechanical assistant Amrold. As Harry prepares for the contest, he discovers that magic and invention aren't so different, and that true greatness demands courage beyond the stage.
