Second Chance(2014)

Second Chance is a film about family, loss, and redemption. After her parents die in a car accident, Shine inherits only their pool house and faces placement in foster care unless a relative steps in. Her estranged uncle Feng, a former billiards champion now struggling with gambling, drinking, and smoking, returns to take custody of her. Shine resents him at first, unable to see past his vices and their years apart. As the two navigate their grief and fractured bond, billiards becomes an unexpected bridge between them—a shared language that helps them rediscover the family connection they thought was lost. Through competition and teaching, uncle and niece learn to heal and find love in each other again.
