Wasteland(2016)

Wasteland is a documentary that spans 27 years of observation at Berlin's abandoned former Gestapo headquarters. Shot between 1986 and 2013, the film captures the slow decay of this historically charged site as nature reclaims the grounds and time erases its traces. Rather than a conventional historical account, the work functions as a visual meditation on memory, abandonment, and the passage of time itself. The camera returns repeatedly to the same locations, documenting how seasons change, structures crumble, and vegetation overtakes concrete and brick.
