MW -ムウ-(2009)

MW is a live-action adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's mature manga, created for the artist's 80th anniversary. When a secret chemical weapon contaminates an island near Okinawa, the military executes a cover-up that leaves one survivor: Michio Yuki. Years later, Yuki becomes a successful banker, but the toxin slowly corrupts his mind. Consumed by rage toward those responsible, he launches a campaign of calculated revenge—and plots something far more sinister: releasing MW globally to annihilate humanity. A priest named Father Garai fights to reach Yuki's conscience and stop the unfolding catastrophe, though his own soul hangs in the balance. This dark psychological thriller explores corruption, guilt, and the price of survival.
