Riders of Black Mountain is a Western film following Marshal Tim Donovan as he investigates a string of stagecoach robberies. Posing as a card sharp to infiltrate the criminal underworld, Donovan suspects someone is tipping off the outlaws to incoming shipments. He devises a trap: arranging a fake cargo delivery to flush out the informant during the robbery. But when the stage departs, the local sheriff arrests the very gang Donovan was counting on to spring his plan.
