Fluer i Kødbyen is a Danish film about four young men who form a band in 1971 Gentofte with nothing but humor and ambition. Their playful approach quickly transforms them into Denmark's biggest orchestra, delivering hit after hit. Yet their meteoric rise masks deeper struggles: alcoholism, creative conflicts, and the pressure of fame. As success mounts, the band faces an impossible choice—maintain the irreverent, youthful energy that made them stars, or risk everything to mature as artists and individuals. The film traces how easy success can become a prison, and what it costs to grow up in the spotlight.
