The Return of the Prodigal Parrot (Part 2) follows Kesha the parrot as jealousy drives him from home after the Cat flaunts a flashy new player. Determined to prove his worth, Kesha attempts to sell himself for 1,000 rubles and catches the attention of Vovka's wealthy neighbor, who takes him in. What promises to be an upgrade quickly sours, however, as Kesha discovers that life in his new surroundings isn't the glamorous escape he imagined. The sequel explores themes of envy, ambition, and the grass-is-greener mentality through the misadventures of its feathered protagonist.
