Social Characters(1969)

Social Characters is a Hong Kong film about a delinquent gang called The Seven Brigands, led by the wealthy but troubled Peter Ko alongside his sister Connie and their classmates Lisa, B.B., Jane, Angel, Tommy, and Tong Wong. When well-meaning Peter and Lisa attempt to steer the group toward redemption, their plan unravels after a bitter argument drives Lisa away. Left without her stabilizing influence, Peter slides back into his old destructive habits, threatening the fragile progress the gang had made. The film explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the struggle to escape a cycle of delinquency when circumstances—and people—work against you.
