Russian Death(2018)

Russian Death is a drama about two sisters trapped in emotional stasis. Valya sold her Moscow apartment to chase a dream of living in Venice, only to return disillusioned years later. Her younger sister Nadezhda remained behind in their family house, and now both inhabit the same space in a state of quiet isolation, caught between past and present. When Alexey, a thoughtful middle-aged man, arrives at their door, both sisters become drawn to him—but not in the way of a conventional love triangle. Each woman harbors different intentions toward him, and his presence threatens to upend the fragile equilibrium they've maintained. The film unfolds with a Chekhovian sensibility, exploring loneliness, desire, and the weight of unchosen lives.
