Made a Movie, Lived to Tell is a documentary following three filmmakers who reunite decades after completing their 1983 sci-fi detective film Hellfire in southern New Jersey. Director William Murray, editor Keith Reamer, and cinematographer Dan Karlok hit the road to track down surviving cast and crew members of the low-budget production, which was finished and released as Primal Scream before fading into obscurity. Through their journey, the trio explores what their shared creative effort meant to everyone involved, uncovering stories and connections buried in the film's forgotten history.
