Rackety Rax is a silent comedy about a gambler named "Knucks" McGloin who spots a fortune to be made betting on college football. Inspired by the money flowing around the Rose Bowl, he founds his own college, Carnasie, so he can control the outcome of games and clean up at the betting tables. His gangster rival Gilatti, unwilling to let McGloin have the edge, starts his own college football team. What follows is a madcap race between two criminals trying to rig the game, each determined to outsmart the other. The film captures the absurdity of bootleg-era scheming with physical comedy and satirical jabs at American greed and competition.
