Lawman(2017)

Lawman is a western film set in 1875 Indian Territory, following Bass Reeves, the first African-American deputy marshal. When Reeves arrests a dangerous outlaw and begins transporting him to encampment, a tense battle of wills unfolds between captor and captive. As the outlaw schemes to escape, Reeves must use his wits and resolve to maintain control during the perilous journey. Based on true events, the film explores the grit and determination required to uphold the law in a brutal frontier era, while examining the complex relationship that develops between lawman and prisoner.
