Local Heroes follows Tommy, a musician haunted by the legacy of Kurt Cobain, whose self-destructive tendencies mirror his idol's. Driven by the promise of a record contract at stake in a local band contest, Tommy spirals deeper into musical obsession and alcohol abuse, willing to sacrifice anything—and anyone—for his shot at stardom. As his ambition intensifies, the line between passion and self-destruction blurs. Tommy's relentless pursuit of the dream leaves no room for restraint or compassion, not even toward himself. The film captures a portrait of artistic hunger twisted by excess and desperation.
