Backstage follows the West Coast Crew, a dance troupe led by the ambitious Buddy, as they compete on the televised reality talent show Superdance. Selected for the prestigious competition, the young dancers taste sudden fame and envision victory. But as the contest intensifies—particularly against rival crew Muertas—jealousy and ego fracture their unity. Internal conflicts mount as narcissism and interpersonal tension test their bonds. The film captures the high stakes of competitive dance, where ambition and camaraderie collide. What begins as a dream of stardom becomes a struggle to hold the group together under pressure.
