Pocahontas Glory Vol. 7 is a documentary capturing Norfolk and Western Railway operations between 1956 and 1958. The film documents steam locomotive activity across multiple locations, including Cincinnati and Portsmouth in 1956, and features a memorable rainy day shoot at Bonsack, Virginia showcasing Class A, Y, and other locomotive classes with authentic period sound. A standout sequence captures a Pigeon Creek Shifter chase involving Y6A #2136 in November 1958. Compiled from archival footage by Donald J. Krofta, Joseph Schmitz, Jack Jennings, William H. Bauer, Dave McNeil, and George Leilich, the film preserves rare synchronized audio recorded during original filming. Russ Wheeler provides narration throughout this detailed portrait of mid-century American rail transport.
