Lady Ninja Kasumi 8: Clash! Kouga vs. Iga Ninja is an action film set during the escalating conflict between the Toyotomis and Tokugawas. Kasumi and her Iga ninja allies face a deadly Kouga team led by Nobuyuki, brother of the Sanada clan's Yukimura, who seeks to eliminate him. The Kouga fighters—Jako with her mesmerizing scent, Mukage who commands the earth, and Bunzo with his lethal thread and fishing pole—launch relentless attacks. When Kasumi, Yukimura, and Mufu visit the Kosuge household, tensions erupt between its master Takayuki, loyal to the Toyotomis, and his brother Shinzo, who serves the Tokugawas. Kasumi grows close to Shizu, a Kosuge maid, but their bond fractures when Jako's ninjas strike.
