Nednari(2023)

Nednari is a film that explores the seven deadly sins through the lives of seven politicians. The story flashes back to their final camping trip at age fifteen, before their paths diverged and their ambitions took hold. Each character embodies a different sin—pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, and sloth—setting the stage for their eventual rise to power and moral compromise. By contrasting their youthful innocence with the corrupt adults they become, the film examines how personal flaws shape political careers and public life. The camping trip serves as a turning point, a last moment of genuine connection before ego and desire drive them apart. Nednari uses this framework to question whether politicians are born corrupt or made that way by ambition and circumstance.
