Aatmavishvas(1989)

Aatmavishvas is a Marathi film about a woman's breaking point. Aarti marries printing press owner A.A. Mangalkar and raises three children with him. When his business fails, Mangalkar becomes abusive toward his family, and his children follow suit. Years later, Aarti's eldest son Abhay marries the domineering Meena, who pressures the family to sell their Shivaji Park home. When Aarti refuses to sign away the property, she undergoes a startling transformation—behaving as though possessed by a spirit. The film explores how years of mistreatment push a woman to her limits, blending family drama with supernatural elements as Aarti reclaims her power in unexpected ways.
