Making the Play(1973)

Making the Play is a film about a marriage in its final chapter. After eleven years together, a couple has decided to separate, and both accept it's over. Yet she keeps appearing at the most awkward moments in his life, and he never quite finds the will to turn her away. Their lingering connection—part habit, part unresolved feeling—creates a tender, complicated dynamic as they navigate the space between being together and being apart. The film explores what happens when two people can't quite let go, even when they've already decided to.
