The Man Who Saw Too Much(2019)
The Man Who Saw Too Much is a documentary following Boris Pahor, a 106-year-old survivor of five Nazi concentration camps including Dachau, Bergen-Belsen, and Natzweiler. Two decades after liberation, Pahor wrote Necropolis, a searing memoir illustrated with drawings by fellow prisoners that documents the brutal conditions of the camps. The film weaves together Pahor's testimony with archival accounts, including a British intelligence report and confessions from SS commandant Josef Kramer, the notorious "Beast of Belsen." Through these interlocking narratives, the film creates an unflinching historical record of one of humanity's darkest chapters, told by someone who endured unimaginable horrors and lived to bear witness.
