Ian Dury: Rare and Unseen is a documentary that assembles archival footage and performances spanning the punk and new wave legend's career. The film opens with his earliest known television appearance from the London Programme in 1976, then moves through three candid interviews with the late music journalist Tony Wilson. A restored final appearance on Richard and Judy rounds out the retrospective, alongside eight live performances with the Kilburns and the Blockheads, including "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll," "Sweet Gene Vincent," and "Blockheads." The collection captures Dury as poet, performer, and uncompromising wit—a portrait of one of British rock's most distinctive voices, assembled from material previously unseen by the public.
