Forging Condors(2018)

Forging Condors is a documentary following Latvian artist Miķelis Fišers, who abandons his life to pursue creative inspiration across Latin America and vanishes. His friend, filmmaker Mārtiņš Grauds, embarks on a search that becomes an exploration of artistic creation itself. The investigation spans Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, Finland, Italy, and Latvia, tracing Fišers's footsteps across continents. The film captures the tension between artistic ambition and personal disappearance, examining what drives a talented creator to abandon everything. Through Grauds's lens, Forging Condors becomes both a mystery and a meditation on the creative process, revealing how art and life intersect in unexpected ways.
