An Unconventional Love is a comedy about two best friends navigating very different lives. Penny is a devoted homebody married with a stepson, while Maggie is a free-spirited divorcée who thrives in the nightlife. During a girls' night in, the women reveal their secrets—including Maggie's unusual arrangement with her stepson: they must approve each other's romantic partners. When Penny learns that Maggie has handed over her dating decisions to her stepson, she's stunned. Yet Maggie insists he has a gift for reading people and spotting true intentions.
