Louder Than War(2001)

Louder Than War is a concert film capturing the first major live performance in Cuba in over two decades. Filmed at the Karl Marx Theatre in Havana, it documents a historic musical event that hadn't occurred on the island since 1979. The film runs over 100 minutes and combines full concert footage with an extensive behind-the-scenes documentary. The tour diary segment spans 30 minutes and follows the band through rehearsals, arrival in Havana, press conferences, and encounters with local culture. Additional segments capture the performance itself, backstage moments, and the celebration that followed. Louder Than War serves as both a record of the concert and an intimate portrait of what it meant to bring live music back to Cuba after such a long absence.
