Asking For It is a revenge thriller following Joey, a small-town waitress who, after being sexually assaulted by an old friend, is drawn into The Cherry Bombers—an all-female gang of trauma survivors. Led by the enigmatic Regina, the group targets violent frat boys, corrupt cops involved in human trafficking, and members of MFM, a dangerous alt-right militia. As Joey becomes entangled in their violent mission against a misogynistic system, her involvement attracts the attention of Logan County Sheriff Vernon, who's investigating MFM for his own reasons. The film builds toward a confrontation that forces Joey to reckon with the cost of vengeance and her place within the gang's chaotic world.
