Beyond the Reef(1979)

Beyond the Reef is an adventure film set in the South Pacific waters near Bora Bora. Tikoyo, a lagoon dweller, raised Manidu from an orphaned tiger shark pup into a sixteen-foot guardian. Believing the massive predator houses the spirit of a wise elder, Tikoyo relies on Manidu to protect him, his girlfriend Diana, and the sacred black pearls hidden in the lagoon. The shark becomes judge and executioner, targeting only those who threaten the couple or seek to plunder the reef's treasures and destroy its ecosystem. As outsiders arrive with dangerous intentions, Manidu's loyalty is tested in a battle between greed and the natural world's ancient power.
