Cemetery Footage is a darkly comedic film following a group of young people who descend on a local graveyard for a day of theatrical mischief. Armed with notebooks and affected attitudes, they attempt to channel gothic sensibilities through poetry readings and deliberately provocative behaviour. What begins as a self-conscious exercise in aesthetic rebellion gradually reveals the absurdity of their posturing as reality intrudes on their carefully constructed personas. The film balances humour with genuine moments of introspection, examining how youth navigate identity, mortality, and the gap between the personas they adopt and who they actually are.
