The Wrecked Station(1917)

The Wrecked Station follows Sydney Wayne, superintendent of the Graham Gravel plant, as his world collapses. When he learns that new owner Stanton Grey is arriving to inspect the property, Wayne panics—he's gambled away company funds and his books won't balance. A chance encounter offers temporary salvation: Grey arrives at the station unconscious after a car accident, and Wayne steals his wallet. But the gambler Cole, who's been tracking Wayne, photographs the theft and uses it as leverage for blackmail. Trapped between financial ruin and extortion, Wayne must navigate a web of desperation and deceit to survive the arrival of his new boss.
