The Brothers(2022)

The Brothers is a Moroccan social comedy following three friends—Zreka, Charo, and Abdelssadek—who bond as brothers while struggling through poverty and unemployment in a Casablanca slum. Each carries his own burdens, but they share a common fate: marginalization and failure. When the trio attempts to create viral buzz with a homemade video, their naïveté backfires spectacularly. They become pawns in a larger game, manipulated by forces beyond their control, and soon find themselves hunted by authorities across the country. What begins as a desperate bid for attention spirals into a darkly comic nightmare, trapping the friends in a web of consequences they never anticipated. The film balances humor with the harsh realities of life on society's margins, exploring how quickly fortune can turn for those with nothing to lose.
