Unfinished Games(1964)

Unfinished Games is a Bulgarian war film following a boy named Mitko whose childhood ends abruptly when conflict reaches his small town. After discovering a wounded partisan, Mitko hides him in his attic, then abandons his home to join the resistance in the forest alongside his parents. What begins as youthful curiosity transforms into genuine commitment as Mitko becomes an active member of the partisan detachment. The film traces his rapid passage from innocent child to soldier, culminating in a final act of courage. Facing overwhelming Nazi forces while protecting his injured comrades, Mitko makes the ultimate sacrifice, his unfinished games left behind in a brutal wartime reckoning.
