Pretty Heart(2022)

Pretty Heart is a Hong Kong film about the clash between two educators with opposing philosophies. Mr. K.K. Ho, a celebrated cram school tutor, employs unconventional methods that earn him fame and favour with his boss, Principal Lee. Chloe, a principled high school teacher, views K.K.'s approach as unethical and confronts him repeatedly in class. Their heated exchanges spark an unexpected shift in K.K., who begins to see merit in Chloe's dedication. He attempts reconciliation with flowers, but Chloe remains unmoved. When K.K. discovers that Chloe is Principal Lee's daughter—and learns of her traumatic past involving her mother's death—their relationship takes on new depth. The film explores how two people shaped by different values and painful histories might find common ground.
