Boy Wanted(1963)

Boy Wanted is a silent comedy film following a hapless fourteen-year-old messenger boy hired at a flower shop. His first delivery goes awry when he arrives late to a wedding and finds himself standing at the altar. His second task takes an unexpected turn when he uses a funeral wreath to rescue a drowning man from the river, arriving late once again. Later that afternoon, a mix-up leads him to deliver a funeral wreath to a Spanish movie star performing on stage instead of the flowers intended for the television broadcast. The chaos that ensues—and the customer complaints that follow—result in his swift dismissal. The flower shop promptly rehires, posting its sign: "Boy Wanted.
