Asylum Session(2009)

Asylum Session is a film about Hiyoko, a young woman determined to become an artist like her mother, whose father opposes her ambitions. When she discovers he's removed all her mother's paintings from their home, she flees. Unable to find shelter with friends, Hiyoko arrives at Asylum Stadium, an abandoned field housing a community of homeless people facing imminent demolition by the government. There she encounters Akira, a mysterious figure with an extraordinary ability to fly. The film explores Hiyoko's struggle between artistic passion and family conflict, set against the backdrop of a precarious sanctuary on the brink of destruction.
