Davaro(1981)

Davaro is a Turkish drama following Memo, who returns from Germany to marry his beloved but faces an impossible choice. His father's killer, Sulo, is being released from prison, and village tradition demands revenge before Memo can wed. Unwilling to commit murder, Memo devises a plan to stage Sulo's death and satisfy honor without bloodshed. The scheme backfires, however, unraveling Memo's carefully laid plans and threatening everything he's worked toward. Caught between ancient custom and modern conscience, Memo discovers that some debts cannot be settled so easily, and his attempt to escape tradition only deepens his troubles.
