Facelift(1984)

Facelift is a dystopian film set in a future where society splits into two castes: the privileged "numbers" and the struggling "names" who find refuge in a magical cabaret operated by Zax. When Zax becomes infatuated with a wealthy "number" slumming in his venue, he takes a dangerous gamble—constructing a robot replica of her. The film explores themes of class division, obsession, and the consequences of trying to possess what cannot be owned. As Zax's creation blurs the line between reality and artifice, the story examines what it means to love in a world defined by inequality and desperation.
